The first Italian meeting of the International College of Dentists (ICD) – organized by the Italian committee - took place on May 30th in the beautiful setting of Villa Pomela hotel, located on a magnificent park upon Novi Ligure hills.

An all day scientific program for Fellows was held as well as a comprehensive social program for accompanying persons and guests.

The theme of the congress was very multi-faceted and the speakers’ professional backgrounds were different, not only strictly related to the dentistry field.

In fact, along with the scientific and surgery state-of-the-art updating, other interesting aspects were analysed and discussed.

Through a psychiatrist’s speech, for example, a profile of a new, modern relation between dentist and patient was described and suggestions were given to follow the path to patient’s awareness.

Possibilities of applying marketing techniques to dentistry were also proposed and actively discussed by the Fellows.

The scientific meeting underlined both the latest medical aspects of surgery and the complexity of the new approach in the relation between dentist and patient.

An exclusive and stylish gala dinner, according to the College style, ends the day that was apparently very much appreciated from all the participants.
