Appointment of Deputy-Regent
Dr Mauro Labanca was appointed as Vice Regent for the Italian District at the 52nd Meeting in Cardiff, June 2007.

Annual District Meeting 2007

Every year in Rome, the Congress of Collegio dei Docenti in Odontoiatria takes place. This is the meeting where all the academicians come together in order to define common interests and objectives. Traditionally, we take this opportunity every year to arrange the meeting for the Italian ICD section.

Also this year, we met in the very prestigious location of the Reale Circolo Canottieri Tevere Remo, in Lungotevere in Augusta, 28. The meeting took place on April 18th 2007, and as usual we asked for confirmation of attendance and for formal dress. In a very nice and warm atmosphere, formal but friendly at the same time, a huge number of Fellows were present to feel a part of the College and to participate to the common future projects.

We mainly focus on the following topics:

• Future objectives for the College in Italy, like how to involve Italain dentists that should be invied into ICD Fellowship and how to increase the scientific future presentation during the congress;
• New Fellows for the ICD to be introduced in Cardiff in June 2007 and some other new Fellows  for Athens in June 2008;
• Developing strategies of the College (through the Philip Dear Charitable Foundation of the European Section of ICD, the Ethiopian Dental School and the Odessa project)

 After a very enjoyable time spent together, we left the Circolo at 12.30 am, wishing to meet each other more often during the coming year.

The Italian District held the 51st Annual Meeting in Genoa, June 2006 under the Presidency of Dr Giorgio Blasi

Dr Giorgio Blasi hosted a very successful and enjoyable 51st Meeting of the European Section in Genoa from 8th -10th June 2006.
