Induction of new Latvian Fellow June 2007

In keeping with the intention of the European Section to extend into Eastern Europe, the Israeli - Malta District was very pleased to sponsor at the 52nd Annual Meeting in Cardiff in June 2007 the Induction of Dr Andas Brandmenses from Riga, Latvia.  Dr Brandmenses is a Paedodontist working in the field of Dental Public Health and training Dental Hygienists.

Appointment of Vice-Regent for Latvia

At the December 2006 meeting of the Board. Dr. Egita Senakola, of Riga, Latvia, was appointed as Vice-Regent through the Israel-Malta District to take care of Inductees from Latvia.

Student Award Program Extended into Latvia

The Student Award Programme which the Israel-Malta District has been running in Israel for three years was extended into the Riga Stradins University in Riga, Latvia in 2006 and will continue in 2007.
