Many activities have been explored and organised around the celebration of 100 years ICD and to honour the legacy of our founding fathers Dr Tsurukichi Okumura and Dr Louis Ottofy. The first appropriate set date was November 2020, the Centennial Year. This date was postponed to September 2021 because of all restrictions during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. Unfortunately, the world is still facing all kinds of (travel) limitations related to the pandemic and for this reason President Senda has released a worldwide announcement that all Centennial activities and Council Meeting in Nagoya have been cancelled.
